New favorite song....from Dumbo
Dear Preston,
Baby mine, don't you cry.
Baby mine, dry your eyes.
Rest your head close to my heart,
Never to part, baby of mine.
Little one, when you play,
Don't you mind what they say.
Let your eyes sparkle and shine,
Never a tear, baby of mine.
If they knew all about you,
They'd end up loving you, too.
All those same people who scold you,
What they'd give just for the right to hold you.
From your head to your toes,
You're so sweet, goodness knows.
You are so precious to me,
Cute as can be, baby of mine
"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, My baby you'll be."

Mini Moments...
A few little moments that I have been wanting to document before I forget them...
P trying to clean the table after me, keep his chubby little hand right at the edge to sweep all of the food particles into.
P trying to wring out his hair today after our bath/shower. He watched me, then he grabbed a minuscule piece of hair and "rang" it out and told me all about it.
P yelling "MAMA" "MAMA" everything time he wakes up to have me get him. It escalates in loudness, frequency, and frustration, but never really turns to crying. Makes me laugh every single time, except when it's before 7am (which it has been lately).
P counting "1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, March, March" all the way down and up the stairs pretty much every time. We continually remind him about 3, but he just doesn't care.
P hooting and hollering at the computer screen when we watch the basketball games at home. Usually its an away game and he takes his cue from the cheering crowd, which is not the right team, but his effort is hilarious. He has his fist pump in the air going while yelling "yeah yeah" or "hooray".
P moaning after every sip of miso soup tonight and saying "good". Just like a satisfied adult.

Funny story...
The other day Preston, David, and I went grocery shopping and Preston saw a poster at the store with David on it. He started yelling in the middle of the store pointing at the poster and David, "my dada, my dada, dada, dada". Everyone was laughing so hard and we were a little embarrassed. It was so cute though!

Valentine's Day!
Valentine's Day fell on a Tuesday this year which was AWESOME for us because David only gets 1 day off each week and guess what day it is: TUESDAY!!! We decided to hire the baby sitter for a daytime date, which was a gift unto itself. We went to a breakfast joint that serves up American-style and sized breakfast (The Rose Garden-And, yes, I will be taking my mom and Emily there..so delicious). It was so much food that we didn't eat again until dinner. After breakfast we headed up north to hike up to Hiji Falls. It was a gorgeous day..like lay out in your bathing suit day and the hike was easy enough and the waterfall was spectacular. P got to play with Chiyo and her dog, Sachiko, all day, which was a treat for him. We ended the night with a huge porterhouse steak (kinda a big deal in Japan) and a movie...It was a great Valentine's day!!
Huge tree growing out of rock...and this picture just makes me laugh.
First time crossing a suspension bridge..Totally sways back and forth
Funniest part of the whole trip was that there happened to be a fan at the waterfall at the same time as us. He was like, "AHHHH, Palmer-san!!!" and of course David shook his hand and laughed...We took a picture of his car as we were leaving...He has some team memorabilia in his car, ha ha!
Preston's first Valentines: Cupcakes. Never doing this again. It took me forever and they are still sitting on my fridge :(..I forgot to take them to his gym/music class.
This spider was HUGE..I swear the body was the size of a quarter...Biggest spider I have ever seen. On the way back, David decided to announce that "he doesn't really like spiders". This one kinda freaked him out.

Goodies!
WOWZZZERS!!
It has been forever and it makes me sad! So starting today I will be blogging again! Valentine's Day and a request from someone not to post anything on face book made me want to post here. I am going to be doing a quick photo collage of pretty much the last four months from October to January to get caught up...It was such a busy, but wonderful time in ours lives that I can't just gloss over it with any type of documentation.

So sleepy..
So sleepy right now...Another 530am wake-up call...I seriuosly do not know how to get him to sleep in more. His room is dark, warm, and we double diapered him tonight so his clothes werent wet. I need a baby sitter just for the first two hours of his day :).
Had gym class today. He actually went across the high balance beam, flipped on the bar, and hung upside down. He is liking it more each time and just smiles and laughs during the entire class. We got some good videos. The one on the high beam got erased :(.....
Headed to the Beer and Wine Festival in Yuba, which should be fun. So happy the weather has been so nice!
