Valentine's Day fell on a Tuesday this year which was AWESOME for us because David only gets 1 day off each week and guess what day it is: TUESDAY!!! We decided to hire the baby sitter for a daytime date, which was a gift unto itself. We went to a breakfast joint that serves up American-style and sized breakfast (The Rose Garden-And, yes, I will be taking my mom and Emily there..so delicious). It was so much food that we didn't eat again until dinner. After breakfast we headed up north to hike up to Hiji Falls. It was a gorgeous day..like lay out in your bathing suit day and the hike was easy enough and the waterfall was spectacular. P got to play with Chiyo and her dog, Sachiko, all day, which was a treat for him. We ended the night with a huge porterhouse steak (kinda a big deal in Japan) and a movie...It was a great Valentine's day!!
This spider was HUGE..I swear the body was the size of a quarter...Biggest spider I have ever seen. On the way back, David decided to announce that "he doesn't really like spiders". This one kinda freaked him out.

Funniest part of the whole trip was that there happened to be a fan at the waterfall at the same time as us. He was like, "AHHHH, Palmer-san!!!" and of course David shook his hand and laughed...We took a picture of his car as we were leaving...He has some team memorabilia in his car, ha ha!
Preston's first Valentines: Cupcakes. Never doing this again. It took me forever and they are still sitting on my fridge :(..I forgot to take them to his gym/music class.
