My birthday weekend...

I love my birthday :)...The weekend was not as friend-filled as the last couple of years have been :(, since I was living in Sacramento with all of my friends, but it was still great!  The nice wishes that I got from everybody made me sooo happy! THANK YOU!!! I did miss my annual champagne brunch, which wouldn't have been nearly as fun this year....So..everybody mark your calendars for Champagne Brunch 2011...We will have catching up to do, since we missed a year....The birthday festivities went as follows:
Saturday (27th)
Surprise birthday dinner with 3 friends
I had no idea that it was dinner for me until we got there and at the end, a huge plate filled with different desserts, a candle, and a "Happy Birthday Michelle and baby" chocolate sign, was brought out.  It was really nice!
Sunday (28th)
Birthday treats and presents in the morning
David's basketball game in the afternoon
Indian dinner with friends in the evening
Birthday party at our house at night (if I can even call it that)
Monday (1st)
 Fondue!!!

My birthday morning!!!
I look a little (well...a lot) scary...don't judge...I had just woken  up.
Rebecca and I at dinner

My birthday party
A bunch of guys talking and arguing about......BASKETBALL, what else??
Fondue on Monday
So sad...chocolate is all gone...can't believe Mr. Stoic actually gave a facial expression
Last but not least...A picture of a birthday treat from my brand spanking new Canon XSi!!!!!

Basketball World

UPDATE:  David's team played the number one team (Okinawa) this weekend and they won one and lost one...BOOO!!! David played really well in the first game...32 points and 14 rebounds...He got Man of the Match....They lost the second game and he played okay...His team is in third, jockeying for 2nd place...

What to do when bordom and stretchmarks set in?

I have been bored lately and have decided to take up a new hobby...Sewing felt onto onesies....I am so sad that I left my sewing machine at home, so I am compromising....Here is what I have made for Baby P...I will not show everything (well...except to my mom and sister, poor things)...I am just proud of my first accomplishments.

This is my new stretchmark cure...Anything that I see that resembles a stretchmark I put Neosporin on it and cover it with a band-aid...I don't care if it is a vein or an artery or a belly button piercing hole...I am not taking any chances and am dousing them with oil and Neosporin...This was my stomach this afternoon. I swear the Neosporin works....I had a little spot in the morning one day, put on the magic cream and it was gone in the afternoon....And, I swear I wasn't seeing things...So..if you plan on getting pregnant or becoming a body builder in the next 5 years...buy stock in Neosporin.

Big woman...little people

Without embarrassing myself too much, I will explain this picture...I am getting larger in a country that was already too small for me...I don't just mean with the pregnancy...Something has happened...I now hit my head on cupboards...I use the restrooms and my legs are wedged up against the walls..I literally don't fit into the stalls sometimes..This did not occur last time I lived here....It is obvious that I have grown, but now I am hitting my head on stuff....WHAT??
I am a giant in the land of lilliputins....

United and I are reUnited...

I was on very very bad terms with United.... I flew with them three times in the course of three months and not one of the times was pleasant...On my first trip the last leg of the flight was delayed forever, maybe eight hours, and they played the "the plane will be here in 30 minutes" card. I could have rented a car and driven from San Fran faster, if they would be have been honest. They knew it wasn't arriving anytime soon. On the last two flights, my flight from Sac to San Francisco was completely cancelled....I wasn't that mad after the first cancellation, but after the second one, I was very ticked off....I wrote to their complaints department, totally played the 6 months pregnant card, having to move my luggage by myself with no help from the airport staff, almost missing my connecting flight to Japan from San Francisco, while mentioning that my previous two flights were messed up as well and that I was hoping to get the miles on my mileage account (ha ha-even though there is only a few for that short flight)...After a couple of rounds of emails and a few no responses, I found out that we were reimbursed $363 for my cancelled flights! I could not believe that I actually won....Usually, they shine me on, then they say they can't do anything, then David calls and gets his way....He says I am too emotional when I call...that is why I went the email route this time...Finally, some customer service...

Only in Japan...

Here are some funny pics....
Poor David did not get any picture chocolates for Valentine's Day, but Nile did....The fans go to great lengths for these guys.....

Why o why, did they not consult Bable Fish/Google Translator/Any other translation website/foreigner before printing out mass quantities of this???? You would think they could have asked 1 person who lived overseas or a foreigner on the street if "availalbe" was spelled right. You have no idea how common this is....Huge billboards with spelling mistakes like brended coffee, instead of blended....I have to laugh everytime and it makes me want to start an English consulting firm.....
